Wise Choice Childbirth Services is composed of two moms who love the miracle of birth. As doulas, we desire to help families in the Stark/Wayne county and surrounding areas of northeastern Ohio achieve unmedicated, undisturbed labor and delivery experiences. We do this through excellent prenatal preparation (physical, mental, and emotional), education, and continuous support throughout labor and delivery. When moms don't know their choices, they don't have any; at Wise Choice, we want all moms to know their choices in birth and to choose carefully and wisely. We want you to be transformed by the miracle of birth, coming through it empowered and filled with joy!

At Wise Choice, we believe that birth is a natural process that can be trusted, a process designed by a wise and loving Creator. It is true that on rare occasions, unforeseen emergencies can and do arise, and we are grateful for the medical technology that can save the lives of mothers and babies in those rare events. However, most emergencies could be prevented if uncomplicated birth was viewed as part of nature instead of a medical event. We believe every woman has the right to choose a natural, empowering, beautiful birth experience, in the location and with the people of her choosing. We believe that when women are educated and supported, they can do it!

A fellow birth advocate was once quoted as saying, "There is a big secret in America today and it is not that birth is hard. It's that women are STRONG."
